The “all-suite, all-balcony” vessel will undergo a 20-day dry dock in April at Chantier Naval de Marseille shipyard after which it will feature “dramatic new culinary experiences, elegant new suite designs, and completely renewed modern guest spaces,” the line said.
Seven Seas Mariner will then reposition to the Pacific Northwest for Alaskan sailings with alternating departures from Vancouver and Seward.
As part of the refurbishment, the ship’s pool deck will receive the "most comprehensive redesign”, according to Regent, with a new open layout and teak flooring throughout.
Its centrepiece will be a new mosaic-tiled pool, featuring a broad ledge for lounging in shallow water, while new BBQ and buffet catering options will be available at the ship’s Pool Grill.
The vessel’s atrium, corridors and guest spaces will all receive new carpeting, art, furniture and on top of “completely revamped” Coffee Connection, Card Room, boutiques, and Casino areas.
The Canyon Ranch SpaClub will receive a “soothing new design”, featuring pebble-stone tiles and light-wood accents in the treatment rooms.
Its adjoining fitness and aerobics centre also will see new state-of-the-art machines and equipment fitted, Regent said.
Guests will become “ensconced” in new suites, featuring decor such as the Regent Elite Slumber bed, private balcony, accent table and new artwork.
All suites feature walk-in closets and oversized, marble-accented bathrooms with L’Occitane amenities.
Regent’s new Chartreuse speciality restaurant, first introduced onboard Seven Seas Explorer, will also be installed during the ship’s refurbishment and debut a modern French menu.
The Prime 7 steakhouse will receive a revamp and debut an “a vibrant blue and tan colour scheme”.
Jason Montague, president and chief executive, said: “We are delighted to relaunch the refurbished Seven Seas Mariner for what will be an unforgettable 2018 Alaska season.
“Seven Seas Mariner will have been elevated to the highest standards of elegance, and guests will enjoy the highly personalised service delivered by every member of Seven Seas Mariner’s exceptional staff and crew.
“Once Seven Seas Mariner completes her refurbishment, Regent’s fleet will definitively be the most luxurious at sea.”
