On Sunday, April 22 four members of the TTG team will pull on their (now well-worn trainers) and take on the longest race of their lives – the 2018 London Marathon.
Routes News sales manager Chris Gascoine, TTG editor Sophie Griffiths, news editor Jennifer Morris and TTG Media managing director Daniel Pearce are running in aid of Children with Cancer UK, TTG Media’s designated charity for the year, and one which is close to the team’s heart. Chris’s son, Louie, was diagnosed with leukaemia at 18 months old, and continues to be treated by Great Ormond St Hospital.
Almost 4,000 children and young people are diagnosed with cancer every year in the UK – 10 every day. Children with Cancer UK is the leading national children’s charity dedicated to the fight against the disease in youngsters, and funds life-saving research into its causes, prevention and treatment. It also works to protect young lives through essential welfare programmes.
The TTG team of runners has a fundraising target of £8,000, and would love your help in reaching it.
