The company said that sales rose by 68% year-on-year during the first few days of January, which was its “best ever start” to the peak-booking period.
Carrier has launched a trade-focused marketing campaign, The One, which has included supplying overbranded booklets for 30 of the operator’s top agencies.
Mark Duguid, Carrier’s managing director, said: “We’re delighted to report our strongest ever start to peaks.
“In line with our new trade-focused strategy at head office, The One has been our most trade-friendly marketing campaign to date and the results speak volumes.
“We’re thrilled to see such strong support from our agent partners and we will be manning the phone lines in our trade-only head office, until 9pm from Monday to Friday throughout January to cope with the demand.”
Meanwhile fellow luxury operator Lusso has also launched a trade campaign, High 5, giving agents the chance to win a holiday for two for bookings made by February 28.
Lusso director Linda Bellis said: “We are really excited by this incentive as our hotelier partners have been extremely keen to show their support for independent agents and at the same time give them a fantastic opportunity to stay at these incredible properties on their own holidays.
“To further support agents we have a produced a peaks targeted theme-based special-offer booklet featuring romance, family, short breaks, gourmet, active and wellbeing packages.”
