The company’s Laura Hazell says, “Securing the `right’ resort, and chalet, and locking in their winter sports holiday is far more important for skiers than waiting until the last minute. A high proportion of our guests re-book shortly after returning from their current ski holiday, up to a year or more in advance, and new guests are keen not to leave their choices to chance either.
“It is particularly important for agents to encourage skiers and snowboarders to book peak travel dates early to avoid disappointment. Christmas 2026 is on a Friday this year, and New Year the following Thursday, and Ski Beat is seeing strong demand for departures on both 19th and 26th December, as well as for February half term 2027, and Easter, which falls early, on March 28th 2027.
“While Ski Beat chalets are booked on a room-by-room basis, agents should also advise groups wanting to take over an entire, hosted chalet, to plan and book well in advance. Ski Beat’s family suites, and chalets with hot-tubs, cinema rooms, and access to pools, gyms, hot-tubs and jacuzzis are very popular with groups, allowing friends and family to ski, snowboard and then relax together.
“But there’s nothing to stop skiers booking a year ahead and then holding out and booking a second holiday late in the current season!” Laura Hazell adds “Prices are particularly keen after Easter this year when Ski Beat has a 7 night catered stay for £713pp for departure on 11th April 2026, when slopes and lifts are quieter, the climate kinder, prices keener, and the slopes are covered with whole winter’s snow base, high up in the French Alps.”
