Set to debut in 2028, ms Harmonie has been custom-built for the Rhône and will accommodate up to 130 guests.
It will serve as the sister ship to ms Lumière, which made its maiden voyage in March 2026 and has also been purposefully designed to sail the iconic European river.
“River cruising continues to be one of the most popular ways guests first experience Tauck, and the feedback our river guests have shared over the years shapes every ship we build,” said Jennifer Tombaugh, Chief Executive Officer at Tauck.
“The name Harmonie, which carries the same meaning in French and English, speaks to what we hope guests feel on board and along the river: a sense of balance, ease and connection to the places we explore.”
The announcement comes amid a period of significant investment for Tauck, with its overall river cruise capacity set to grow by more than 50% by 2028.
The fleet expansion program will see five new vessels introduced between 2026 and 2028 – starting with ms Lumière and ms Serene, followed by ms Reverie and ms Saudade, and concluding with ms Harmonie.
Tauck confirmed the new capacity will also allow the brand to retire two of its older Jewel-Class river ships.
The operator says its demand for the Rhône has surged, with bookings nearly 30% ahead of previous years.
To support this growth, clients can expect an expanded portfolio of shoulder-season departures and new destinations, as well as a six-day cruise format designed for time-conscious travellers.
Onboard, ms Harmonie will feature a Sun Deck with a swimming pool, full-service bar, and shaded daybeds for open-air dining.
On the upper Diamond Deck, an expanded wellness area named The Retreat will house a fitness centre, massage treatment room, and a lounge framed by floor-to-ceiling windows.
Arthur’s, Tauck’s signature informal restaurant, will serve breakfast and lunch with panoramic river views, while the ship’s 300-square-foot Tauck Suites will mirror accommodations found across the rest of the fleet.
All Tauck river cruises remain fully inclusive of shore excursions, gratuities, onboard beverages (including wines, beer, and spirits), airport transfers, luggage handling, taxes, and fees.
Agents can now reserve spaces for clients on ms Harmonie’s 2028 itineraries. Guests booking will have the option to cancel for a full deposit refund once final pricing and itinerary details are released later this autumn.
