Most of the airline’s flights from Glasgow will be on an Airbus A330, which feature seatback TVs with more than 100 channels of entertainment.
Air Transat will fly five times weekly to Toronto and weekly to Vancouver, with up to five connecting flights each week to Montreal, Calgary and Vancouver.
Lesley Kane, the airline’s sales director, UK & Ireland said: “Scottish travellers are taking off for Canada in record numbers this year, and we’re introducing larger aircraft to cater for this big increase in demand.”
“This year not only marks Canada’s 150th anniversary, but also a quarter century of Air Transat services from Glasgow, and we’re delighted to be the carrier of choice for tens of thousands of Scots again this year.”
Return Economy Class fares until February 6 start from £362 to Toronto, £388 to Montreal, £427 to Vancouver and from £459 to Calgary.
All Air Transat flights include a 23kg hold luggage allowance, meals and soft drinks on board, plus in-flight entertainment.
