The best part of a thousand guests came together at Magazine London – next to the iconic O2 Arena – for the awards, which was hosted by TV’s Davina McCall and featured a high octane DJ set from Joel Corry courtesy of Virgin Voyages, as well as a Holiday Extras disco dance-off.
Hurtigruten Group were the big winners on the night, with Hurtigruten Expeditions winning Expedition Cruise Line of the Year and the group receiving a high commendation in the Sustainable Travel Company of the Year category. The group was later named UK and Ireland Travel Company of the Year.
Not Just Travel’s Ben Casey, meanwhile, was named UK and Ireland Travel Agent of the Year after picking up the Home-Based Agent of the Year earlier in the night. Other agent winners included Gillian Williams from The Travel Village Group (Cruise Agent of the Year) and ArrangeMy Escape’s Ryan Sowney (High Street Agent of the Year).
