A naming ceremony was held last week on the banks of the River Rhine in the German city of Cologne.
Amadeus’ Cruises digital marketing director, Anna Lüftner, was named godmother of the new 135-metre river cruise ship, which can accommodate up to 163 guests, and will sail on itineraries on the Danube and Rhine under the German flag.
The ship departed for its inaugural voyage on 2 July, sailing via Rüdesheim to Wertheim, Würzburg, Bamberg and Nuremberg, as well as Regensburg to Passau in Bavaria.
River views are maximised aboard the new ship with wall-to-wall cabin windows, plus a range of bars and terraces looking out over the water, including the River Terrace at the bow, the Amadeus Club at the stern, the Café Vienna in the lobby area, and a spacious sundeck.
The ship has received a Green Award for its reduced carbon output and air filtration system.
