The events will focus on the luxury cruise and river cruise sectors. Around 70 places will be available at each event, and details of venue, programme and how to secure a place will be revealed shortly.
Andy Harmer, Clia UK and Ireland director, said: “We are delighted to be bringing these events to UK travel agents in September this year. The events in Manchester and Norwich will be the perfect opportunity to highlight the incredible innovation and breadth of cruise options in the river and luxury sectors of our industry.”
Harmer was speaking at the inaugural Clia Asia River Cruise and Destination Forum, which included a post-event Mekong cruise for agent delegates.
“Asia is often overlooked as a cruise destination - both in terms of river and ocean itineraries, however there are signs that the tide is turning, as Asia is the fastest growing region for river cruises, and is the driving force an increase in British river cruise passengers sailing outside of Europe,” he said.
“We hope that having the chance to experience Asia cruising first-hand will bolster sales for our members. For those who are not able to attend the conference, there will be post-event learning modules, plus of course videos and notes from the conference sessions online.”
