The association will head to the French capital for the eighth edition of the event, which will be held on November 10-11.
The choice of destination marks the second time this year that Clia has held a river cruise-themed conference in a new country following its Vietnam-based Asia River Cruise & Destination Forum in April.
According to Clia, Europe accounts for almost 90% of all river cruise itineraries for UK customers, although the organisation is also reporting a “growing interest” in Asian river cruise itineraries, with British cruise numbers up by 22% to the region in 2017 against the previous year.
The announcement of the Paris-held river conference was made onstage at the association’s conference in Southampton today (May 24) by Andy Harmer, senior vice-president membership and director Clia UK & Ireland.
