The operator revealed the changes on Tuesday (July 10) following a restructure. Armand Guillemot, head of sales UK, Ireland and Scandinavia, will lead the team.
Guillemot previously headed up Club Med’s corporate sales meetings and events division.
Dana Broekhuizen joins as sales and events executive, bringing 10 years experience in events, hospitality and sales. She will support agents with day-to-day requests and queries.
Kerri Van Loggerenberg, meanwhile, has been appointed key account manager for ski specialists.
She started her career as a Pentravel agent in Durban and relocates to London from Club Med’s base in South Africa.
The team is completed by: Clarisse Chapolard, key account manager UK, Nordics and Ireland; Matt Stuart, key account manager for long haul specialists and travel concierge; Danny Ryan, trade, meetings and events sales manager; Alice Duboin, events manager; and Claire Brunel, trade marketing project manager.
Meanwhile, Club Med says its enjoyed a bumper start to 2018 following £86 million investment in 2017, focusing on new resorts and upgrades.
UK winter 17/18 bookings are up 29% on the 16/17 season and global summer 2018 bookings have achieved double-digit growth.
“Club Med has been going from strength to strength in the UK and globally,” said Estelle Giraudeau, managing director Club Med UK and northern Europe.
“It has been implemented in the UK by a brilliant team, so we are delighted to be adding even greater expertise to our line-up. 2018 is forecast to do even better in both winter and summer seasons for which bookings to date are significantly up.”
Club Med added Samoens-Morillon in the French Alps for the 2017/18 season with Les Arcs Panorama, also in the French Alps, due to open in December 2018.
Away from the slopes, Club Med will open a new resort in Marbella in 2019, and renovate its resorts La Pointe aux Canonniers in Mauritius and La Caravelle in Guadaloupe.
“We have an exciting pipeline of openings already underway for 2018 and more scheduled for 2019 so we need the best people in place to help Club Med clients to choose the right resort for them,” added Guillemot.
