Lancashire-based Uni-Travel Limited, trading as the Independent Traveller and Ranch Rider, failed on 13 December.
Ranch Rider, which will soon celebrate 26 years in business, has now changed hands, with Canada specialist Frontier Travel taking the reins.
Frontier Travel will add Ranch Rider to its current portfolio of six brands, which provide tailor-made skiing holidays, fly-drive itineraries and escorted tours.
Ranch Rider offers destinations including the US, Canada, Argentina, South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Kenya and Tanzania and agent commission of 10% is offered on all bookings.
Frontier founder Sandra Potter said her business would continue to build on Ranch Rider’s “genuine love” of riding holidays.
“As proud owners of [tour operator] American Round-Up, our consultants are already experts in selling ranch stays and bespoke adventures in North America,” said Potter.
“Our keen eye for detail makes us an asset to agents, and acquiring Ranch Rider will allow us to expand our offering.”
