Launched by agent campaign group Target (Travel Agents Reform Group Engaged Together) in November, the idea sees BDMs and supplier reps given temporary workstations to allow them to catch up on emails and calls.
Jill Waite, co-founder of Target, said the scheme was launched after suppliers faced difficulty in returning calls and replying to emails while they were travelling. "We hope this initiative will help them," she added.
Target co-founder and Westoe Travel boss Graeme Brett said the response from agents has been "amazing".
"So far we have 100 travel agents involved and we hope that a few more will get involved in the new year," he added.
"As we all adapt to new ways of working, it is wonderful that so many agents have agreed to assist their colleagues on-the-road in this way."
