“It is very important to us that we support our partners that have a customer base close to these airports. With the arrival of John as a key account manager, we have seen our UK trade team double in size over the past 12 months.
“John has excellent relationships with agents in Scotland and Northern Ireland and we are looking forward to helping grow their touring business.”
In Scotland, Just You and Travelsphere offer tours via direct or connecting flights from Aberdeen, Inverness, Glasgow and Edinburgh airports, while Northern Ireland “offers us a huge opportunity”.
Docherty, who is currently territory business manager north, added: “With Travelsphere and Just You tailoring their offering for both the Scotland and Northern Ireland markets, it is an incredibly exciting time to join the business.
“Touring has a really loyal customer base and I am looking forward to supporting our agent partners as we build their business in this market.”
He will be joining the company on February 11.
