Held this year for the first time in association with headline sponsor Saga, the ceremony will return to the Lyceum Theatre in London’s West End on September 19, before an after-party at the iconic Savoy hotel.
Saga said it wanted to sponsor the awards to “demonstrate our support for the trade”.
The over-50s specialist began selling through agents for the first time at the end of 2014, and said it had been overwhelmed by trade interest and support ever since.
“It’s a fantastic way to put something back,” added James Gambling, director of marketing operations for Saga.
New for the 2016 awards will be eight categories for individual agents and an all-new approach to Travel Company of the Year.
Elsewhere, the entry mechanism for suppliers has been simplified, while only shortlisted suppliers will be required to complete an online submission.
In addition to 17 supplier categories, there will be the return of awards such as On The Road Hero.
“Registering for and entering the awards has never been easier, and with a category for every travel business, we urge you to join us on the journey towards the starriest night in travel on September 19,” said Daniel Pearce, managing director of TTG Media.
Following the success of last year’s event, the TTG Travel Awards were recently shortlisted for Event of the Year at the British Media Awards.
Tickets are now on sale, with an early-bird rate of £175+VAT until April 20. Agent tickets cost £99+VAT.
