The Travel Agent Awareness Initiative is a toolkit for TTNG’s 1,200 independent businesses, helping them to promote themselves locally and in the media.
TTNG chief executive Gary Lewis said: “Following a long period of absent travelling it’s never been as important to support our members and help them talk about the incredible benefits that travel agents bring to the industry.
“With long airport queues and travel disruption, our industry is facing further uncertainty from a consumer perspective.
With this initiative, we’re looking to help our members inspire confidence in bookings, no matter the travelling climate, as they will be there to support their customers throughout their booking journey.”
The campaign will provide consumers with tips on how to avoid falling victim to fraudulent holiday activity, like fake websites or ‘too-good-to-be-true’ offers received by email.
TTNG members will also be offered marketing material including social media squares and banners, editable A4 offer cards and a video via the Group’s intranet, The Hub.
