A member of Viking Cruises’ crew has died after falling from one of the line’s ships at the port of Cromarty Firth in the Scottish Highlands.

According to BBC reports, the accident took place on Friday morning (18 August) onboard the Viking Mars cruise ship and involved a crew member in his 40s, who was immediately airlifted to Aberdeen’s hospital but died later on Sunday due to the injuries sustained.
“Viking’s focus remains on the safety and wellbeing of our crew and guests,” a Viking spokesperson told TTG on Monday (21 August). “Our operations team is working with local authorities to determine how this occurred.”
