The ITT Education & Training Committee have another passion, which is to encourage and inspire the next generation of talent and make sure we continue to showcase travel and tourism as offering a huge range of exciting and professional careers.
With millennials now reaching their 30s and Generation Z joining the workforce, we must continue to do more to engage with the next generation and promote our businesses as future employers, to help us win the war on talent.
Over the past academic year we have once again taken our Future You On The Road event to educational establishments around the UK, as well as holding another hugely successful Future You at WTM London. Together with industry professionals from a wide range of companies, we have informed and inspired students about the possibilities that travel and tourism brings.
We are enormously proud of our Future You initiative and very grateful for the ongoing support we get from industry. It is important we continue supporting and working with colleges and universities to help them to continue to deliver the qualifications and skills we need, and providing opportunities for young people to enter the sector, whether through an apprenticeship, an entry level position or a graduate scheme.
Many of our supporting employers have gone on to recruit from students they have met through Future You.
During May and June, students from colleges and universities around the UK will be finishing their final exams and starting to think about their future. I hope you will embrace this opportunity to bring new talent into your business.
Those interested, please get in touch via the ITT website.
