The Australian native, who has more than 30 years of industry experience, will remain at the helm of A&K’s tour operating businesses in the UK and Australia.
The restructure is designed to provide a “unified leadership” for travel agents while keeping brand-specific expertise intact.
In the UK and EMEA, Fox will be supported by Jennifer Charlton, senior vice president of trade sales UK/EMEA for A&K and managing director of Cox & Kings, and Luke Smith, vice president of trade sales for Crystal, UK/EMEA.
“This structure allows us to deliver even more focused support to our trade partners than ever before,” Fox said, before adding there will be a “clear focus on unlocking new sales opportunities across all our brands.”
Fox’s appointment as chief sales officer comes amid a flurry of growth across the portfolio, including the expansion of A&K’s DMC network and the addition of new Sanctuary properties in Uganda and Botswana.
Abercrombie & Kent Travel Group was also recently approved to operate and sell through agents in the Republic of Ireland, and is now preparing to enter the US market after experiencing a 156% rise in revenue from trade sales from 2023 to 2024.
