One fan of Queen Anne is Bolsover Cruise Club travel agent Adrian Morris (left), who embarked on his first Cunard cruise 13 years ago and has been an advocate for the iconic brand ever since. Last month he stepped on board Queen Anne for the first time, joining his family on a 12-night roundtrip sailing from Southampton, stopping in Edinburgh, Invergordon, Stornoway, the Isle of Skye, Killybegs, Belfast, Liverpool and Cork.

“I like all ships, but I love to get on a brand-new one, so I was quite excited,” he says. “Queen Anne feels like a modern Cunard ship – she still has the Cunard nods that guests love, like the Chart Room, the Queens Room, the Golden Lion; but she's new and fresh."

From West End-style productions in the 835-seat Royal Court Theatre to contemporary signature venues, Queen Anne offers a rich programme of entertainment throughout every voyage.

At the heart of the ship is the spectacular three-deck Grand Lobby, where art deco-inspired design, live music and social spaces combine to create one of the ship's most striking focal points.

One new feature on Queen Anne is the Bright Lights Society – a bold and sparkling show bar that hosts captivating cabaret performers and grinning guests in its opulent surrounds.

During his time spent on board Queen Anne, Adrian was able to gather top selling tips to help communicate the ship's strengths...

Highlight Queen Anne's extensive deck space: “Queen Anne offers generous outdoor deck spaces where people go to relax. I thought some of them were only for Grill Suites [top-tier stateroom] passengers, but they aren't – they're just really lovely spaces, with elegant outdoor furniture. If you were sailing with other cruise lines, you'd definitely pay extra to be in quiet areas like these.”

Tell customers about the hidden-gem bigger balconies: “There are some balcony staterooms listed as having an obstructed view, but the view is perfectly fine and they have larger balconies than standard. There are only six of these staterooms, they’re on Deck 4, mid-forward, and I've actually booked one for my own holiday in November!"

Explain to clients it's great value for money: “Queen Anne gives you a luxury cruise experience, but not at a luxury price. If a client seeks a classic cruise experience, where the holiday really feels like a voyage, or if they want the special service that many ships have recently done away with, Cunard is perfect.”

Designed to soothe mind, body and soul, it's home to a steam bath, cold room, Himalayan salt sauna, thermal pool and thermal loungers, plus opportunities to indulge in biotech facials and muscular repair treatments.

All this and more adds up to the most expansive collection of spa, fitness and wellness facilities ever available on a Cunard ship.

"Cunard is definitely focusing on wellness," says Adrian. "Access to the spa and treatments comes at an extra charge, but there were special offers while we were on board Queen Anne."

A new Wellness Experience is now available to book, which combines a relaxing massage with access to Queen Anne's private Wellness Suite (complete with relaxation area, sauna and more), as well as nutritious bites from The Pavilion Wellness Café.

The Pavilion Wellness Studio (right) makes its grand debut on Queen Anne. This is where guests can make mindful movements during a yoga class, try their hand at pilates or break a sweat during a range of instructor-led fitness classes with inspiring sea views.

Afterwards, guests may like to cool off in the Pavilion Pool, which has a retractable roof. “It feels like you’re outdoors,” smiles Adrian.

Then there's the Pavilion Wellness Café, where guests can pick up a vitamin-packed smoothie, fresh garden salad or choose a build-your-own Buddha bowl. There are a range of meat, dairy and fish options, plus enticing plant-based dishes.

When it comes to guest dining on board Queen Anne, the world is their oyster. They'll choose between 15 dining venues offering fine dining, gastropubs and enticing buffets with dishes ranging from healthy to hearty, restaurants spanning art deco to al fresco and tastes from both land and sea.

In every venue, guests can expect Cunard's renowned service and variety of dishes, with dining experiences tailored to suit every taste and occasion.

Adrian is a big fan of the Britannia Club restaurant, which he describes as "absolutely stunning". He says: "It's more intimate, the service is fast, and the choice is fantastic – you select from two menus and can even pre-order fancy dishes like a rack of lamb for the next day."

For a little something extra special, recommend guests opt for Queen Anne's alternative dining restaurants, which include Aji Wa (Japanese), Tramonto (Mediterranean), Aranya (Indian) and Sir Samuel's Steakhouse and Grill.

"On other cruise lines, the specialty dining venues are often offshoots of the buffets, so they don't feel as much like an alternative dining restaurant as they do on Queen Anne," he explains.
