An independent luxury travel agency has unveiled its new London office, where it will be hosting clients on an ‘appointment-only’ basis.
Travel Gallery, which was founded in 1987, will now operate its business out of brand-new offices in South Kensington.
Speaking to TTG Luxury, co-founder Farzana Marikkar-Dobbs revealed the family-run business had finally made the move after a long time of “putting it off”.
She and husband Neil had been hosting clients at their South Kensington home for the past five years, having previously run a boutique store on Gloucester Road nearby.
The investment in an office space, which is just a few doors down from their home, will allow them to expand their team and provide a more discreet service to their clients, many of whom are high-profile.
“We can employ more people now, which will bring us to a team of six,” Marikkar-Dobbs said, adding how Travel Gallery also has a small back office team in Sri Lanka; the company also runs its own tour operator, specialising in Sri Lanka and the Indian Ocean.
Situated in a stucco-fronted building within the Queensgate conservation area, the new premises will provide the same inviting atmosphere as the Dobbs’ home.
It will still be appointment-only, to ensure the team can preserve the privacy of clients and focus entirely on their bookings. All customers will also be welcomed with the choice of a machine-made coffee, hand-rolled Sri Lankan tea or a glass of prosecco, sparkling wine or champagne.
