The record set of figures for the division came in 2021/2022 ahead of Advantage’s formal year-end results, which are due to be published next spring.
Members operating under the AMS model saw revenues increase by 41%; bookings rise by 13.4%; and average booking values increase by 44% compared to 2019.
The announcement was made during Advantage’s Back on the Water 2022 cruise conference onboard Virgin Voyage’s Valiant Lady on Saturday (8 October), where the association also announced a newly branded cruise position and launched a range of fly-stay and cruise packages through its in-house operator.
The AMS model was established to help agencies reduce their back-office costs and the administration which comes with running a business, leaving agents to focus on customer service and sales.
AMS holds pipeline monies in a trust account. All members are supported by a dedicated finance contact, receive free technology and net rate merchant fees, plus marketing and Atol options.
More than 80 branches are now a part of the division – which is the fastest growing area of Advantage’s membership portfolio.
Advantage chief commercial officer Kelly Cookes said the organisation’s focus "remains fully on the success" of its members.
"We are thrilled to have achieved this record result, especially on the back of what has been the most challenging period in history for the industry and our members," she added.
"Giving our members a say in how we operate through our forums remains incredibly important. We remain committed to looking for further ways to add even more value to them and their businesses going forward."
