The awards are part of the two-day Adventure Travel Conference & Marketplace 2018 taking place on January 18 & 19 at the Olympia Conference Centre in London.
The travel agent/agency category, sponsored by Intrepid Travel, is for looking for an “outstanding travel agent who has successfully promoted and developed interest in adventure travel to their clients”.
Agents can nominate themselves or have their names put forward by a tour operator, tourist board or other industry partner. The submission deadline is December 31, 2017, and the awards ceremony will be held on the first day of the event, January 18.
Conference organisers are also encouraging the trade to take part in an adventure survey by offering discounted tickets to the event.
The survey results have to be submitted by next Wednesday, December 20, and will be used to compile a state of the industry report to be launched at the conference.
The first day of the show on January 18 features a B2B marketplace allowing agents to meet tourist boards and suppliers, as well as seminars, networking reception and awards.
This will be followed on January 19 by a full day of conference lessons to improve delegates’ knowledge of the adventure sector.
