In a submission published by Companies House at the end of last month, the liquidators confirmed that no funds were available to pay secured or unsecured creditors’ claims, which amount to almost £6.16 million.
Shareholders’ capital of £617,448 is added to this amount, making up the remaining deficiency.
The report listed 17 creditors, with Dublin’s Great American International Insurance owed £625,000 and accountants Deloitte £24,500.
ALG collapsed in January this year. Its brands Swan Hellenic, Voyages of Discovery, Travelsphere and Just You were sold to G Adventures, although there are no plans to revive Voyages of Discovery.
The “Statement of affairs” listed 111 ALG shareholders, holding nearly 62 million shares.
ALG founder and chief executive Roger Allard owned 37 million while Lord Jeffrey Sterling of Plaistow was listed as having 3.7 million shares. Both originally bought Swan Hellenic from Carnival Corporation in 2007.
