Sales director Liz Emmott told the Abta Travel Convention that the firm’s Future Traveller Tribes 2030 report forsees six main types of traveller, which it believes will help the trade better understand and serve their future customers.
The report is an update on the company’s identification of four types of traveller envisioned in 2020, reported in 2006.
The traveller tribes are Simplicity Searchers, Reward Hunters, Social Capital Seekers, Cultural Purists, Ethical Travellers and Obligation Meeters.
Emmott said: “I would encourage you to think about which of these tribes has a strategic fit with your business, and what motivates those travellers.”
