The brochure also includes an expanded range of Freedom of Choice experiences and activities that are included in the price of its luxury trips.
Angela Waite, APT’s head of sales and commercial, said: “As well as opening sales for 2018 and 2019 on our popular cruises in Europe and Asia, we’ve added a new Luxury Russian itinerary and lots of new early booking deals.”
The new Russian Waterways voyage is a 13-day itinerary that travels along rivers and lakes between Moscow and St Petersburg.
“We offered Russia last year at the premium level and we think that people want to go to Russia at the luxury level,” said Waite.
APT has also released new dates and deals for cruises in Vietnam, Cambodia and Myanmar for the 2018-19 season.
“There’s a lot of pent-up demand for Myanmar,” said Waite. “It’s such a great place to visit as you go to local villages where you get an incredible welcome from all the children in the village. It’s a very authentic experience.”
New Freedom of Choice activities include nine escorted bike tours, which are new for 2018, as well as more onboard experiences such as wine tasting and cookery classes.
“We are introducing more active opportunities,” explained Waite. “It’s all part of the programme – it’s very much all-inclusive at the high end of the market.”
APT is also celebrating its 90th anniversary this year with a series of events including a Vietnamese cookery class in London with celebrity chef Luke Nguyen, who is a brand ambassador for APT and has helped develop the company’s cruises in south-east Asia.
Agents can win a place at this event in September by completing a module on APT’s online training course, apt-experts.co.uk, by August 23 and then being entered into a prize draw.
