“What we are doing here is incredible,” said Koningsdam cruise director Johnathan Rogers, who cited the importance of a string of branded partnerships HAL has struck with world-renowned names.
One that is likely to resonate with British guests is HAL’s exclusive partnership with BBC Earth, showcasing its award-winning wildlife films with special theatre screenings that include exclusive behind-the-scenes footage, and various children’s activities.
Another highlight is a live concert in Koningsdam’s main World Stage theatre where classical musicians follow an original score to footage from the BBC’s Frozen Planet series which is shown on giant screens.
It debuted on Koningsdam’s Mediterranean sailing last week, with two evening performances that played to packed houses and won rave reviews from passengers.
HAL is also planning themed BBC World cruises with the programme creators who will share their stories of wildlife filming and host masterclasses.
