Buckman, who will take up his role on December 1 from the digital marketing agency, has been appointed to complement the group’s “aggressive expansion plans”.
Prior to addmustard, Buckman held a number of senior positions at travel brands including Resorthoppa and lowcostholidays, and launched a number of projects including easyJet Holidays and lastminute.com’s holidays category.
Buckman said: “I am hugely excited to be joining the team at Broadway Travel Group and playing a key role in its exciting growth plans.”
He will join the group’s executive board with non-executive chairman Hugh Morgan, chief executive Adam Pardini and chief operating officer Jill Mitchell.
With the remit of rolling out the digital strategy for the group over the coming months, Buckman also has the added responsibility for Broadway’s offline and flash sale business.
Buckman will report into Mitchell, who said: “We are delighted that Tim has joined the group at a key time for our strategic growth; we are looking forward to working with him in delivering growth in both our online and offline channels, and enhancing our customer journey.
“His knowledge and experience will bring huge value to Broadway Travel and our consortia members.”
