The French all-inclusive operator plans to open a $120 million resort in the ski resort of Le Massif in the Canadian province of Quebec.
The 300-room property, which is due to open in 2020, will be a four Trident resort but will also include a five Trident “luxury space”.
Xavier Mufraggi, chief executive of Club Med North America, said: “Club Med is the world leader in all-inclusive mountain hotels and resorts.
“With more than 20 sites already established in France, Italy, Switzerland, Japan and China counting for more than 6,000 rooms, we’re excited to add Canada - and specifically Quebec - to the list.”
Club Med is currently going through a major period of growth with 15 resorts set to open over the next two years, including several mountain properties.
Le Massif is located in the Charlevoix region and is around a one-hour drive from the gateway of Quebec City.
Daniel Gauthier, chairman of the board of directors of Groupe Le Massif, added; “This significant project will position Le Massif, Charlevoix, among one of the greatest international destinations.
“Club Med is a world-recognised symbol, promoting an active lifestyle, family and well-being. With shared values, the partnership between Club Med and Le Massif, Charlevoix, is one of authenticity.”
