The new range of tours, operated by sister company Globus, are available for autumn and winter departures, with the intention that iconic sights can be visited without the usual tourist crowds. Additionally, there will be no single supplement on any of the departures – subject to availability.

Platinum used to be called Select by Globus.

Available from November 2017 to March 2018, the range features durations from 7-9 days, and includes tours of Ireland, Italy, Germany, Greece, Portugal, and Spain, as well as multi-country tours.

Rob Goodwin, Cosmos’ head of product and commercial, said: “As the winter booking season starts, we are delighted to offer a premium product with such great value for our customers.

“Our new choice of tours means that agents can be confident in offering customers fascinating itineraries guided by an experienced tour director, as well as first class hotels.”

He added: “Combining the reassurance and social aspect of travelling with a group, these tours are suitable for a broad demographic, from single travellers, groups of friends to couples wanting to see more of Europe without the hassle of travelling independently.”

The trips are packaged with flights, transfers and a private home pick-up service.

For 2018, bookings made before 31 July 2017, the private home pick up radius is extended from 50 miles to 100 miles.
