The country’s transportation safety authority have launched an investigation into the incident which saw the Porter Airlines flight from Ottawa to Toronto almost hit by what was believed to be a drone.
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada confirmed that a pair of crew members had received minor injuries during the incident which took place at 07:30 EST (12:30 GMT) yesterday.
The flight was making its initial approach for landing at Toronto’s Billy Bishop Airport on Monday (November 14) when pilots noticed an object coming towards them, BBC News reports.
As they flew closer the pilots, who had initially believed it to be a balloon, saw the object close to their flight path and took evasive action.
The injured flight attendants were taken to hospital and have since been released.
The 54 passengers on the flight were unharmed.
