TTG Media and the Chartered Institute of Marketing Travel Group (Cimtig) have teamed up to create a new award, which will see one promising marketing professional crowned as Tomorrow’s Travel Marketing Leader 2016 at the Travel Marketing Awards in March.
The new accolade builds upon the success of TTG’s popular Tomorrow’s Travel Leaders initiative, launched in 2012 to recognise and support emerging talent within travel.
TTG Media managing director Daniel Pearce said: “Our 30 Under 30 initiative has already been successful in identifying young people who are set to become the movers and shakers in the travel industry in years to come, but this new award is a fantastic opportunity to focus on the marketing professionals who are so integral to the process of selling travel.”
Entrants must have been under the age of 30 on January 1, 2016 and can either nominate themselves or be nominated by a colleague, giving details of the highlights of their career in travel marketing to date.
The new category joins more than 30 other awards which span advertising, marketing, digital and campaigns.
Awards judges include Victoria Bacon, head of brand and business development at Abta; and Jean-Marc Flambert, vice-president marketing UK and Ireland at Antigua & Barbuda Tourism Authority.
The Travel Marketing Awards take place on March 15, 2016 at Grosvenor House in London from 7pm, with early-bird tickets still available until February 15.
