Members of the VNV pilots’ union in the Netherlands are due to take industrial action on Friday (June 24) in a dispute over working conditions.
EasyJet was affected by a shorter stoppage by VNV members last week when they went on strike for eight hours.
The airline said in a statement: “We have been working closely with the VNV to negotiate a collective labour agreement.
“Although we have been unable to agree on some issues, we believe our latest offer represents a substantial improvement and we have already implemented a number of changes as a result of the discussions, as we know these issues are important to our pilots.
“We are disappointed at this unnecessary strike action and are working to minimise the impact to our customers.”
Amsterdam-based pilots working for easyJet want sick leave pay, a better pension scheme and more rest time between flights.
