The sand storm from the Sahara has been impacting the islands since December 26.
Local flights are being affected and Sal was the only island receiving international flights on Thursday morning (December 29).

The Mirror reported on Wednesday that passengers due to fly back to Manchester from Cape Verde on Christmas Day were told they could not go home and did not yet know when they would be able to return.
