Joshua Mariner spoke out after revealing plans to take legal action against the German police who wrongly said in a statement that he had been arrested.
He has insisted that he was not among the six men who were arrested following their rowdy behaviour onboard the Ryanair flight, which had been en route from London to Bratislava, Slovakia.
In a statement given to the Southern Daily Echo newspaper, 26-year-old Mariner said: "The lads’ behaviour was unacceptable and they will now have to suffer the consequences of their actions.
"It was reported by German police that I was one of the lads arrested which isn’t true and I will be seeking legal advice as it has caused a lot of distress for me and my family."
The six men have been told they could face fines of up to £20,000 after the plane was forced to make an unscheduled landing when trouble broke out.
The pilot reportedly contacted air traffic controllers and decided to make the emergency landing in the German capital when the men allegedly became aggressive after being refused alcohol.
Reports also emerged that one of the men had stripped naked on the flight.
Local police said the drunk men, aged 25 to 28, were met by officers upon landing at Schoenefeld airport near Berlin at 8.30pm on Friday. They were taken into custody and held but were later released.
