Debbee Dale, owner of HR and business consultancy Debbee Dale Developments, wants to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society and Dementia UK, after becoming a “dementia champion” by giving talks to groups and businesses to raise awareness of the disease.
The fundraiser follows on from Dementia Week, which took place last month from May 15-21.
“I have decided to do something a bit different to raise money and awareness,” Dale said. “If I raise the £5,000 then I have committed to shaving all of my hair off. It’s personal and very visual (and will definitely hurt), so I feel it’s a fitting task to ask for donations.
“This charity is amazing and needs our support to help families and people suffering with dementia,” she added.
