She will also head up Gold Medal’s Thomas Cook’s partnership, and will report into Gordon McCreadie, director of sales and marketing, Travel 2 and Gold Medal, continuing to work alongside Tina Hodge in her capacity as national account manager.
The company said Ruth Hilton, current head of sales and business development, had decided to move internally within dnata to an interim role providing support to Steve Barrass, senior vice-president supplier relations within the commercial team.
McCreadie said: “Maximising the talent within the business has always been key to each brand’s success and ensuring our sales and business development structure is as streamlined as possible is key to delivering our ambitious growth plans.
“Ruth has been an outstanding head of sales leading Gold Medal’s sales and business development team. Her commitment to independent agents and Thomas Cook has ensured that bringing the two teams together has been a smooth transition in supporting our valued partners. I’m pleased Ruth’s experience and knowledge is being retained in dnata and wish her all the best in her new role."
Hilton added: “It has been a phenomenal three and a half years at Gold Medal, working within a great business with a fantastic team and travel partners that I truly value. I’m now really looking forward to the next challenge within the wider dnata business”
Hilton will remain within her current role until the end of April with a handover to Hirsz during this period.
