Entertainment will include the DreamWorks Experience and Adventure Ocean youth programmes while family-orientated cabins will enjoy views of the ship’s Central Park and Boardwalk neighbourhoods.
Harmony is also the first Royal Caribbean ship to feature the water park Splashaway Bay, while the Ultimate Abyss ride has been dubbed the “tallest slide at sea”.
The third Oasis-class ship will be unveiled in Southampton in May before spending its inaugural season sailing in the western Mediterranean.
DreamWorks characters such as Po from Kung Fu Panda, and the cast from animated favourites Shrek and Madagascar will take part in character breakfasts and meet and greet experiences with young fans.
Royal Caribbean also guarantees parents and their children seats on opening weekends to watch new movies such as Kung Fu Panda 3, which premieres onboard at the same time as onshore cinemas.
The Adventure Ocean programme for children aged three to 11 includes activities such as story times, dance parties and games based on DreamWorks’ movies.
There will also be a new puppet show Away We Go!, which will be performed at the Adventure Ocean theatre, while YouTube channel Muffalo Potato will be teaching kids how to draw using only letters and numbers.
From November 2016, guests staying in family cabins overlooking the Boardwalk will receive lunch or dinner for four at family restaurant Johnny Rockets as well as private time on the ship’s 38-foot tall rock wall.
