The new partners – including Vietnamese art charity Vun Art as well as Latin American food NGO Gastromotiva – were sourced by Intrepid’s local teams and are mostly small organisations.
Projects, the foundation has said, will now span every continent and focus on a range of social and environmental issues, including conservation, gender equality and youth empowerment.
In addition to the partnership, Intrepid is making a donation on behalf of every traveller on every trip, resulting in more than AUD700,000 (£374,223) being donated to NGOs. The donation is part of the travel company’s AUD2 million target (£1.1 million) for 2023.
