Seven new routes are being launched by the carrier with more than 1.5 million seats going on sale at the airports.
As a result, Jet2holidays will operate 32 destinations from the Scottish capital next summer with the addition of Antalya, Kos, Dalaman and Madeira providing 50,000 extra seats.
In neighbouring Glasgow, Jet2.com has increased its capacity by 25,000 seats as its route network grows to 29 summer destinations after bringing Bodrum, Kefalonia and Halkidiki into its programme.
In addition, extra services will be operated from Edinburgh to Costa de Almeria, Paphos, Larnaca, Verona and Naples, while in Glasgow; Jet2.com will offer more flights to Larnaca, Rhodes and Antalya.
Steve Heapy, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays chief executive, said: “This will be our biggest summer programme yet from our bases at Glasgow and Edinburgh airports, with more seats and hotels than ever through our airline and holiday operator.
“Such sustained growth is only possible by looking after our customers, which shows that our continued investment into offering great value package holidays and family friendly flights is working.
“Our continued success in Glasgow and Edinburgh proves that our formula is the right one.”
This ramping up of capacity will see the company operating more than 320 weekly flights from Scotland during the summer peak next year.
A new Boeing 737-800 will be based at Edinburgh airport to help handle Jet2.com’s expansion.
