The operator wants to increase its on-the-road team to 10, with the south-east recruit responsible for agents in Essex and Kent.
Alan Cross, head of trade at Jet2holidays, told TTG: “Building up great partnerships and relationships are a critical part of how we support independent travel agents.
“Increasing the size of our team in specific regions will help us spend more time with agents, focusing on them and supporting them to help grow their businesses.”
Elsewhere, Cross revealed plans to increase the number of cabin crew and overseas reps on the road in the run-up to Christmas, after trialling the move last year. Jet2holidays also revealed plans to expand its free resort check-in service to more than 150 hotels and resorts this summer.
