Honeycomb 2, which enables agents to create packages under the consortium’s Atol, has been road-tested by a handful of members in the past few weeks.
The revamped platform is quicker and includes 15 new suppliers such as Wizz Air and Aer Lingus, and accommodation from Gold Medal.
It is due to be fully rolled out across all members after The Travel Network Group’s Inspire conference onboard Celebrity Eclipse.
Lauren Chappell, manager of Premier Travel, Addenbrookes near Cambridge, told TTG the new products have been well received.
She said: “I think it’s one of the best things The Travel Network Group has ever done. We do a lot of city breaks so it’s great to have plenty of different options when you’re helping a customer. Having the three-day search option is brilliant, especially if your customers are flexible.
“It’s a lot quicker than the previous version and compared to the other systems I’d rather use Honeycomb than anything else.”
Chappell highlighted “teething problems” with booking transfers and some other functionality, but said the overall experience was superior to its predecessor.
