The Portuguese capital will be served from Manchester, Gatwick and Birmingham airports while flights to the Spanish capital will operate from Birmingham.
Monarch is also adding a new Manchester-Tel Aviv three-times-a-week service.
Marjan Schoeke, Monarch’s head of network development said: “We continuously refine and develop our network strategy looking closely at where and at what time our customers want to fly.
“We are delighted to announce that for Summer 16 we will launch two new destinations to Lisbon and Madrid both of which we know will be a popular choice with our customers.”
Flights will be available to book from today (December 22).
