Having joined the airline in 2005, Ian Chambers has held various digital and marketing management roles.
Most recently, as head of digital and marketing, he had responsibility for online marketing, the digital strategy and online sales across all group brands and products.
He recently delivered Monarch’s brand awareness campaign across all media, which focused on the brand’s customer service.
Prior to joining Monarch Chambers held digital and marketing positions at Epson, EasyJet and Go, where he started his career. He succeeds Adrian Tighe who left the business recently.
Chambers said: “I’m really excited about this new challenge, Monarch is transforming commercially as we head towards the delivery of our new Boeing 737-800 Max fleet and I’m looking forward to working closely with such a strong team to realise the full potential of the Monarch brand and service.”
Andrew Swaffield, Monarch Group chief executive, said: “Ian brings a wealth of experience to this role and has demonstrated very strong leadership over recent years.
“These will be invaluable during the next few years as we enter another exciting phase in our history with the delivery of our new aircraft, starting in 2018. We wish Ian every success in his new role.”
