Speaking to TTG onboard MSC Fantasia, Antonio Paradiso said the line wanted to demonstrate its commitment to the UK market.
“We want to show the UK trade that we are confident with our brand. This is why we are basing one of our best ships in Southampton.”
Paradiso also discussed itineraries, insisting that new unique experiences were developed with the British market “specifically in mind”.
Voyages will include 14-night summer sailings to Spain and Portugal and Norway itineraries in the winter season. “We are offering a fantastic mix of the north and the south," he said.
Paradiso insisted that the line would differentiate itself from competitors. “Our UK clients journeying onboard Magnifica can expect a British atmosphere with a distinctly European feel.
"I believe that a great experience should start as soon as you board a cruise ship," he added. "With Magnifica we want our customers to feel like they have already stepped into a destination the moment they are onboard. I am so excited to for everything to get underway.”
