The budget carrier will begin four flights a week to Seattle from September 17, with lead-in single fares of £199. Flights will operate on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
Denver will operate twice a week from September 16 on Tuesday and Saturday with the same lead-in fare. A third frequency will be added on Thursdays for the winter season, as Denver is the gateway to Colorado’s winter sports resorts including Breckenridge and Vail.
Both destinations will be flown on Boeing 787s which offer a Premium cabin, with fares from £599.90 one way. Both flights will leave Gatwick at 09.50 with an arrival time in Denver at 12.40 and Seattle at 11.45.
Both routes are a first for Gatwick. Denver is only served from Heathrow by British Airways and Seattle is another BA Heathrow route, one also operated by Virgin Atlantic in partnership with Delta.
Thomas Ramdahl, the airline’s chief commercial officer said: “Our new Seattle and Denver routes reflect the huge consumer demand on both sides of the Atlantic for quality affordable long-haul travel.
“With our USA flights over 90% full, we are excited to add Seattle to our growing list of US destinations while breaking the monopoly on UK flights to Denver.
“As we expand our high quality services to the USA, we will continue offering passengers greater choice, convenient schedules and affordable fares when flying Norwegian.
“Our global expansion is also creating jobs in the air and on the ground in Europe and the US.”
