The online travel agency saw adjusted pre-tax profit rise 33.8% to £28.5 million on revenue of £83.6 million, which was up 17.2%. The bulk of revenue comes from UK operations, which contributed £81.9 million and saw profits of £32.7 million.
Overseas revenue rose 48% to £1.7 million, but investments in Sweden and the launch of the brand in Norway saw a loss of £2 million in international operations.
On the Beach bought Sunshine.co.uk in May. Simon Cooper, On the Beach Group chief executive said this was now fully integrated. “The Board will continue to evaluate acquisition opportunities that will both increase our scale and deliver value for shareholders,” he said.
He added that current trading was in line with expectations and the business was “well positioned” for the key trading period.
