A desperate search is under way for a two-year-old boy who was dragged under water by an alligator near Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa in Orlando.
The boy was one of a family of five from Nebraska that was wading in the lake on Tuesday evening when they were attacked by the reptile.
Authorities said the father’s efforts to save the boy were unsuccessful and more than 50 law enforcement personnel are now searching the Seven Seas Lagoon.
The authorities said no other attacks had been reported recently at the lake which is used for boating activities.
