The low-cost airline, which announced a profit warning in June following the Brexit vote, is due to publish a trading update on Thursday for the financial year ending on September 30.
City analysts are forecasting that easyJet’s pre-tax profit could fall by more than 25% to around £500 million for the year due to the impact of intense competition, as well as the costs of having to cancel hundreds of flights due to air traffic control strikes in France.
The airline made a pre-tax profit of £686 million in 2015 but analysts are predicting a profit of between £497 million and £517 million this year.
EasyJet’s chief executive Carolyn McCall said in September that the Brexit vote had affected demand for holidays over the last few months.
