Royal Caribbean International’s latest ship, Quantum of the Seas, has sailed into Southampton ahead of a showcase weekend with more than 500 UK and Irish travel agents.
The trade will get a chance to experience the ship’s attractions and features first-hand before the first paying guests arrive.
The arrival of Quantum comes five months ahead of the arrival of sister ship Anthem of the Seas, which will be based in Southampton for an eight-month season next year.
Stuart Leven, managing director, UK and Ireland, Royal Caribbean International, said: “We’re really excited to showcase the brand new Quantum of the Seas to our UK and Ireland travel partners and events this weekend ensure that they see first-hand the step change in cruising that our innovative ships deliver.
“The features on-board – from dodgems to skydiving and more – simply have to be seen to be believed.
“It is an incredible opportunity to ensure agents are familiar and confident about selling our ships ahead of the launch of Anthem of the Seas next year.”
